چکیده
Abstract Introduction Early complementary (solid) food introduction (< 6 months) is at times recommended to reduce the risk of allergic disease, specifically allergy. However, little known about solid and disease as they relate sleep problems during infancy. Thus, purpose this study was assess association with early first year life. Methods Mothers 300 infants (0-11.9 mos, M=5.87) completed an online questionnaire infant sleep, (non-milk, -juice, -formula), (including atopic dermatitis, itchy/dry skin, allergies). Prevalence compared in context presence or absence using chi-square. Results Overall, 29.3% were reported have a problem, 29.0% dermatitis and/or itchy/dry/flaky (AD/IDF) 10.7% allergies. Of who months older time study, 24.4% introduced solids months). Those less likely problem (19.5%) those starting later (37.8%), p < .05. For all infants, more be AD/IDF than without skin conditions (39.1% vs 25.4%), No statistically significant differences found rates between allergy (40.1%) (28.0%), > Conclusion lower associated (before foods. Presence reports skin. Sleep unrelated allergies, although overall allergies low study. Support (if any) Johnson & Consumer Inc., Skillman, NJ, USA

متن کاملTiming of introduction of solid food and risk of allergic disease development: understanding the evidence.
Strategies to prevent or reduce the risk of allergic diseases are needed. The time of exclusive breastfeeding and introduction of solid foods is a key factor that may influence the development of allergy. For this reason, the aim of this review was to examine the association between exposure to solid foods in the infant's diet and the development of allergic diseases in children. Classical prop...

OBJECTIVE There has been growing interest in vitamin D insufficiency as a predisposing factor for allergy development based on immunoregulatory properties and epidemiological studies. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between vitamin D exposure in utero and allergic outcomes in the first year of life. METHODS Cord blood (CB) vitamin D was measured in 231 high-risk infan...
